The Opportunity

As a Product Engineer at Glitch, you’ll be at the intersection of AI, engineering, and product,  extending and enhancing our platform while shaping the technical foundation of GlitchAds.

You’ll design and build integrations, develop APIs, and create AI-powered features that help marketers achieve unprecedented results through automation and intelligence. Working directly with the founding team, you’ll have ownership across the stack and a voice in how we scale the platform from early customers to a global user base.

Over the next 12 months, you’ll focus on:

  • Building scalable APIs and integrations with advertising, CRM, and analytics platforms.
  • Designing and deploying AI-powered features for campaign automation and optimisation.
  • Architecting core systems for handling large-scale ad performance data.
  • Establishing technical standards for reliability, monitoring, and scalability.

Areas of Responsibility

Platform & API Development

  • Design and implement robust API integrations and MCP servers.
  • Build and maintain integrations with ad platforms, CRMs, and analytics tools.
  • Develop AI-powered features for keyword generation, campaign optimisation, and analytics.
  • Architect scalable, distributed systems capable of processing high data volumes.

Backend & Frontend Engineering

  • Contribute to our async Python backend (FastAPI) and TypeScript/React frontend.
  • Implement comprehensive monitoring and analytics for campaign and platform performance.
  • Collaborate with product and design to translate customer feedback into technical solutions.

Reliability & Performance

  • Ensure integrations and APIs are secure, efficient, and scalable.
  • Manage rate-limited APIs gracefully and design resilient retry/queue systems.
  • Champion best practices in testing, error handling, and observability.

Key Outcomes

  • Deliver stable and scalable integrations with multiple advertising platforms.
  • Launch AI-driven product features that improve campaign performance and automation.
  • Establish engineering practices that accelerate development and maintain reliability.
  • Create systems that can handle millions of API calls with high uptime and efficiency.

Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software development.
  • Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI preferred) and TypeScript.
  • Deep understanding of RESTful API design, async programming, and distributed systems.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining AI/ML tools in production environments.
  • Solid database skills (PostgreSQL, Redis) and message queuing (Celery, RabbitMQ).
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and system design skills.

Highly Valued Experience

  • Google Ads API experience (campaigns, keywords, bidding strategies).
  • LinkedIn API or other social advertising platform integrations.
  • CRM integrations (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Experience with AdTech systems (RTB, DSPs, SSPs).
  • Familiarity with analytics tools like GA4, Segment, Mixpanel.
  • Expertise in managing rate-limited APIs and scaling high-throughput systems.
  • Understanding of ad metrics, CPC, CTR, ROAS, conversion tracking.
